Shah Aslam
CEO
Shah is a corporate finance specialist in the fields of consultancy and start-ups, gaining his Bachelor of Commerce double major in Accounting and Finance, and Post Graduate Diploma in Finance at University of Otago, before completing his MBA at the National University of Singapore.
Following this, Shah returned home to Aotearoa where he took up a position with the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ). There he honed his skills in leveraged buyouts and mergers & acquisitions.
He made the decision to leave BNZ to start up his own venture capital firm SO Capital. Its success led to him purchasing Air Napier in 2018, and MediCross Urgent Care & GP Centre in 2024.
He has also been called on to provide recommendations to the company boards and CEOs and analyse merger and leveraged buyout opportunities through the application of advanced technical acumen coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
Lynne Collop
Practice Manager
Originally from South Africa, Lynne brings over 20 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Prior to relocating to New Zealand in 2007, she held several key management positions at Life Healthcare Group, one of South Africa’s largest private healthcare providers, where she developed expertise in both clinical and administrative operations.

At MediCross, Lynne oversees the day-to-day management of the Medical Centre, coordinating the efforts of more than 50 highly-skilled healthcare professionals. With a strong background in healthcare operations and financial management, she ensures the smooth functioning of clinical workflows, resource allocation, and patient care services, all while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and service delivery.
Lynne’s leadership, combined with her commitment to continuous improvement, plays a critical role in driving the Medical Centre’s growth and success, while cultivating a supportive and collaborative environment for both staff and patients.
Dr Jan de Klerk
Medical Director (BMedSci, MBChB, BA (Psy); FRNZCUC; PGDIP Com Emerg Med)
Jan moved from South Africa to New Zealand in 2001. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Pretoria in 1982. In 2010 Jan became a Fellow of the College of Urgent Care Physicians in New Zealand. He has two sons and two grandchildren.

Jan is a committee member of the College of Urgent Care Physicians.

Jan's other interests include running marathons (and in the past ultra marathons), tramping, travel and gardening.

Jan’s newest interest is providing a home stay business in New Plymouth called Tivoli Homestay
